The Kingdom of Sardinia is an early modern country from 1720 until the italian unifacation in 1861.


Background

The Kingdom of Sardinia's house (The House of Savoy), was also the ruling house of the Duchy of Savoy. It also had the italian state of Piedmont.[1]

Economy

In addition to international trade, the public sector, and new technologies, tourism is a key industry and most prevalent on the Northern coast of the island. As far as the industrial sector is concerned, historically, Sardinia has exploited coal, zinc, iron, silver, lead, and bauxite.[2]
